Our lives are boring. There’s a reason we hit snooze five times every morning. We get up, go to work, do laundry, go to bed, and wake up to do it all over again the next day.
By the time Friday rolls around, hard liquor can’t even correct our rut. What we need is real, lively entertainment. That’s why we have Suénalo.
New Times named this crew Best Latin Band of 2011 for a reason. Suénalo can really get the job done. Its music is a fusion of all things Afro-Caribbean and Latin with some jazz thrown in to generally awesome effect.
Since its debut in 2003, the band has dropped three albums and played in cities up and down the East Coast. With eight full-time members, Suénalo seamlessly pulls off a feat most bands can’t even manage with just three people.

If you haven’t heard these guys yet, you’re missing out. Luckily for your poor, deprived, workaday soul, the band has a show at coming up at Transit Lounge next week. But don’t blame us when you’re too tired to get out of bed before noon on Saturday. We warned you.
Suénalo. Friday, July 15. Transit Lounge, 729 SW First Ave., Miami. The show starts at 11:50 p.m. and there’s no cover charge. Call 305-377-4628 or visit transitlounge.us.
