Nudie bar regulars on NE 11th Street are weeping.

Because, as the Miami Herald notes, downtown’s Goldrush strip club has closed.

Just a couple of weeks ago, according to a police report, the joint was robbed of $42,480 in a safe heist that “the manager believes … to be committed by an employee.”

The police report also indicates that “there was no sign of forced entry.”

Cops were contacted by Goldrush management on March 27 when a club accountant noticed that three digital recorders and the safe key had been swiped.

Strangely, the nudie bar’s staff was unable to immediately confirm whether the cash had actually been stolen, according to the police report. Nevertheless, a Miami police spokesman has told the Herald that the burglary unit is investigating.

Meanwhile, Goldrush (most recently owned by Palm Beach real estate wheeler-dealer and failed Park West developer Marc Roberts) is being stripped of its furniture, fixtures, and brass poles.

However, “one has nothing to do with the other,” the club employee who reported the crime, Jeffrey Allen Levy, tells the Herald, referring to the closing and alleged robbery.

He also can’t say if or when the joint will resume its strippin’ business.

Looks like the Goldrush (and its 24-hour lapdances) are over.
