If you missed out on last year’s Sweatstock, Sweat Records’ birthday bash and Record Store Day celebration, you’re gonna want to make time for this year’s event. The Little Haiti store has announced the first phase of the lineup for its April 16 bash.

The outside stage returns this year — we’re told it’ll bigger and equipped with better sound — featuring performances by local bands Beings, Panic Bomber, Deaf Poets, ArtOfficial, Lil Daggers, The State Of, Entresol, and Can’t Stop. While you shop inside, there will be hour-long DJ sets by Tom Laroc, Juan Basshead, Contra, DJ Immortal, Mike Deuce, DJ Hottpants, Induce, Carmel Ophir, Haitian Hillbilly, and Bonnie Beats.

As the date nears, there will be plenty of new additions.

But wait … There is more! WVUM radio drama, Pure Imagination, will be there live, along with Casa De Ha-Ha comics, projections by Coral Morphologic, plenty of food trucks, and free Heineken for the first 500 guests.

$30,000

Don’t forget, though, it’s Record Store Day and Sweat will be offering plenty of exclusive releases to commemorate the wondrous beauty of music on vinyl.

Neighboring Churchill’s Pub will also be open and with no cover all day long. Live bands will be performing at the venue starting at 4 p.m. and recent New Times Mastermind Award winner Roofless Records will be programming the patio stage.

The festivities will begin at 10 a.m., with DJs hitting the decks inside the store at noon and bands performing outside beginning at 2 p.m. And yes, it’s all free!

Sweatstock 2011 with Beings, Panic Bomber, Deaf Poets, and more. Saturday, April 16. Sweat Records (5505 NE Second Ave., Miami). All ages; no cover. Doors at 10 a.m. sweatrecordsmiami.com
