Tomorrow night the Gipsy Kings will perform at the American Airlines Arena’s Waterfront Theater. Known for a style called Rumba Catalana, the Kings have been wowing audiences for 17 years, ever since the release of their debut album, Allegria. Rumba Catalana is essentially a spin on traditional flamenco made more accessible to the pop crowd. Songs like “Bamboleo” and “Volare” made the group a household name in the 1980s, and their popularity hasn’t waned since. They even memorably contributed a rendition of the Eagle’s “Hotel California” to the film The Big Lebowski (arguably one of the top five comedies of all time, in my opinion).
The show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets cost $47 to $96. www.ticketmaster.com
