Latin crooner Marc Anthony is hitting up the Fillmore on June 26, but perhaps the more exciting news is that his opening act is President Barack Obama. The two are hitting up the historic concert hall for a fundraiser, and tickets are selling for up to $5,000.
Anthony is hitting up the American Airlines Arenas later this summer in a three-night stand with co-headliners with Chayanne and Marco Antonio Solis, but the fundraiser gives fans a chance to catch a sneak peak of J.Lo’s ex in a more intimate setting. And, oh yes, all the money will be going to the President’s re-election campaign.
Tickets start at $100 for mezzanine seating, and climb to $5,000 per person for VIP seating and a photo reception. You can find more info here.
Obama is no stranger to raising money in South Florida, and this isn’t the first time he’s teaming up with a Latin celeb to do so. Back in 2010, he held a $30,400-per-couple DNC fundraiser at the home of Gloria and Emilio Estefan.
