Free beer is hard to come by in Miami, so when a brewery like Gordon Biersch in Brickell offers free samples of beer, you best take advantage of it.
From 6 to 8 p.m., free Belgian beer will be handed out in honor of “Belgian Respect Day”, which entails gulping down suds from the French-speaking motherland.
The beers are a preview for some of what will be on hand for Grovetoberfest at Peacock Park Coconut Grove next month.
Free beer tastings have taken place all summer in anticipation for Miami’s beer festival. This one is beer tasting number five.

The next free beer tasting is on September 24 at The Local in Coral Gables, and the theme is IPAs. Another one occurs on October 2, but location has yet to be determined, so keep on the look out
Grovetoberfest in its second year, falls on October 13. It is Miami’s version of Oktoberfest, the Bavarian festival celebrating beer and the world’s largest fair.
You may usually dread Mondays, but this is a good way to get soused.
