Go ramblin’ with the Gambler on a boat!

Or as Kenny Rogers himself might croon: “On a warm summer’s evenin’ on a huge ship bound for paradise …”

The Country Music Cruise has announced its maiden voyage and initial lineup, including Rogers, Vince Gill, and a dozen other high-seas high rollers.

Setting sail from Port Everglades on January 19, 2014, aboard Holland America’s MS Eurodam, this oceanic hoedown will be cruisin’ across the Pacific for seven days and makin’ camp at four Caribbean ports: Turks and Caicos’ Grand Turk, Puerto Rico’s San Juan, Saint Maarten’s Philipsburg, and the Bahamas’s Half Moon Cay.

Now, while the Country Music Cruise’s official logo is a cowboy hat on cresting waves, the MS Eurodam isn’t actually an enormous seafaring Stetson. It’s just your usual 936-foot, 2,104-person, 86,700-ton cruise ship, featuring five dining rooms and a swanky saloon called The Explorer’s Bar.

Even so, the CMC’s onboard activities are guaranteed to be decidedly down-home, including “a beach party on [a] private island, line dancing events, cooking exhibitions, wine tasting, songwriter workshops, spirited trivia contests, exclusive screenings of country music films and documentaries, games and more.”

And if you’re wondering how much this oceanic hoedown will set y’all back … Cabins are runnin’ almost $2,000 a head.

But don’t sweat the cost, partner. ‘Cause as Mr. Rogers says: “There’ll be time enough for countin’ when the cruisin’ is done.”
