When you book Lady Gaga to perform at your New Year’s Eve event, it’s going to be very hard to top. So excuse us if we aren’t as shocked by the news that Tiësto will be headlining this year’s Fontainebleau’s New Year’s Eve poolside party, along with San Francisco DJ Max Vangeli.

Still, the Dutch DJ is one of the biggest — if not the biggest — superstar DJ right now. For his last release, 2009’s Kaleidoscope, he enlisted the help of acts like Sneaky Sound System, Calvin Harris, Tegan & Sara, and Nelly Furtado. He also released his post-WMC effort “C’mon” with Diplo, complete with a video filmed at 2010’s Ultra Music Festival.

But spending New Year’s Eve with such an illustrious DJ is going to cost you … A lot. (This shouldn’t be surprising to anyone because New Year’s Eve in Miami is for those who can afford it.) Tickets start at a — gulp! — $300 for general admission, which includes a premium open bar from 9 p.m. to midnight as well as a midnight champagne toast. If you want some poolside real estate, however, it starts at $3,500 for a six-seat VIP table and runs as high as $25,000 for … God only knows.

Tickets are on sale now at fbnye.snaptickets.com.
