Last time Parisian chanteuse Uffie said she was coming to Miami, she bailed out in order to further prepare for the release of last year’s Sex Dreams & Denim Jeans. For someone who sings big about reppin’ Miami, she sure doesn’t like to perform here a lot.
But maybe this year’s WMC will be different. The Standard Miami Beach has booked her to perform at the hotel March 9 to kick off the week of conference events. Best thing? It’s free and open to the public. All you got to do is RSVP at uffie@standardhotel.com. Event goes from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Lido Lounge.
But you can hang out at the hotel during the entire run of WMC. On March 10 and 11, The Standard hosts Electropico from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Lido Lounge. The event, hosted by Fabrika and the Rhythm Foundation, features sets by Quantic, Jeremy Sole, Mr. Pauer, and Kiko De Gallo on Thursday and Pernett, Mexican Duvviser, Mr. Pauer, and Juanderful on Friday. Event is free with RSVP to info@electropico.org.
