Good morning, FM lovers! It looks like Cox Radio finally received our Christmas wish list.
Over the weekend, it was announced live on the airwaves that the former 93 Rock (currently 93 Holiday Nightmare) will discontinue its 24/7 holly jolly programming at 11:59 p.m. on Christmas night. Really, the announcement came as no surprise since local Cox vice prez Brian Elam confirmed that point for Crossfade three weeks ago.
But here’s the news … Beginning December 26, 93.1 WHDR-FM will officially become EZ 93, the home of all your soft and easy favorites. In other words, a dead zone of adult-contempo crap like Jewel, Air Supply, and Dan Fogelberg.
They’ve already started running promos. It’s terrible.
