Some of the most exciting announcements of Art Basel tend to be last minute. And, sure enough, last Friday brought news of one of the most stacked musical events coming to Basel this year.
Art Basel veteran and board member of the Brooklyn Museum, Swizz Beatz, and Bacardi have teamed up for a three-day celebration of all things artistic called Casa Bacardi.
Taking place in Wynwood at 35 NE 29th St., Casa Bacardi will serve as a no-commission art fair during the day, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., allowing artists to take home 100 percent of the profits from their work. But when the clock strikes 10 p.m., the fair will transform into the Bacardi Untameable House Party, a three-day series of concerts featuring both legendary names and hot new artists.
