Police believe Steven Warren, 37, prowled the Overtown area of downtown Miami preying on homeless women. Warren was arrested on New Year’s Day and charged with raping two women, and police believe he may be responsible for more. Warren has also been linked to the death of a woman in a popular nightlife area in downtown Miami.
Warren, himself homeless, is believed to have attacked the women on the streets and then raped them. DNA evidence links Warren to the two crimes, according to NBC Miami.
In the first incident on August 25, police say Warren began talking to the woman before grabbing her by the neck. He dragged her to a field, stripped off her clothes and then raped her.
In the second incident, Warren jumped a woman near the Overtown Youth Center back in November. He choked her until she lost consciousness. After she awoke Warren raped her.

Police believe that Warren may be linked to more crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
Warren is currently in jail on $44,000 bond and faces several charges of sexual battery.
