U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say they haven’t made a huge pot bust at the Port of Miami for months, but sometimes you just have to wait. Authorities report they discovered 3,837 pounds of marijuana, nearly two tons, stuffed inside shipping containers at the port last Friday.
It’s the largest pot bust at the port in months, and officials estimate the street value of all that sticky icky to be about $7.6 million.
Though the shipping container in question began its voyage in Australia, it made a stop in Kingston, Jamaica. That’s where officials believe the pot was loaded into the container.
No arrests have been made.
