Spectators will score free drinks made with Truvia 6 to 8 p.m., with $7 drink specials (also made with Truvia) to follow for the rest of the night.
According to Orta, they decided to host the competition, “to showcase the talent of the different bartenders in Miami.”
And it’s not just a promotional deal. They always have the diet-friendly ingredient handy. “We have Truvia syrup behind the bar as an alternative for people that want low calorie cocktails,” Orta says.
Competing bartenders including Trevor Alberts from Gramps, Mark Kinzer from Zuma, Philip Khanderish from The Setai, Cesar Diaz from Cocktail Capital, Ricardo Carrion from Radio, Virginia King from The Broken Shaker, Nick Nistico from the Gale, Ezra Pattek from Ocho Taqueria & Tequila Bar, William Rivas from Khong River House and Isaac Grillo from Haven.
The event officially runs from 7 to 9 p.m. So go indulge in a little waistline-conscious imbibing and make your Monday night a little merrier.
