You might not know it. But there are approximately two billion and a half film aficionados who’d argue that creator-actor-writer-director-producer Tommy Wiseau’s The Room is a cinematic masterpiece full of raw human emotion that explodes across the screen in supernovas of beauty, soul, and specialness.
Hahaha … I lied. If you haven’t already gotten word, this drama with the passion of Tennessee Williams (or is it a black comedy?) is actually a mesmerizingly shitty chunk of epicness. In fact, it’s been nicknamed “The Citizen Kane of Bad Movies” by no less an authority than Entertainment Weekly.
See the thing tonight when Bar gives itself over to the otherworldly power of Wiseau. There are some crappy clips after the cut, too.
