But unfortunately, this industry is very fast-paced and busy,” she says, shaking her head. “The last book I read from beginning to end, though, was The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. It’s about a race car driver who has an almost human dog.”

It owns the Guinness World Record for most translated book by a living author. And it’s also one of the best-selling novels in human history. But now, after years of procrastination, you’ve finally got a reason to read it ’cause Kristina Rose recommends Paolo Coelho’s The Alchemist. “It teaches life lessons,” she says. “It’s very enlightening.”
Superstar XXX
“My favorite author is Eric Jerome Dickey,” Superstar says. “He’s a fictional, romance, black novelist. I love him.” And out of the entire Dickey oeuvre, Superstar suggests Milk in My Coffee most of all. “It’s about a black guy fucking with a white girl,” she explains. “It’s sexy. They do a lot of fucking. It was a great book. I love it.”
Indigo Augustine
You wouldn’t expect a lot of adult film actresses to be amateur physicists. But you’d be dead fucking wrong. Just take Indigo Augustine, a fan of both supergenius Steven Hawking and Columbia physics prof Brian Greene. “I’m really big into theoretical and quantum physics,” she says. So follow Indigo’s example and get smarter this summer by snagging a copy of Hawking’s Black Holes and Baby Universes and Other Essays or Greene’s Elegant Universe.
