The jet-setting Miami pastry chef who enjoys a global following thanks to his intricate, eye-popping pastries, viennoiserie, and entremets is leaving the Brickell restaurant that bears his name. “I sold my part,” Antonio Bachour says. “I made it a franchise for them, and they’re paying me a royalty fee.”

Food Delivery Service DoorDash Expands to North Miami and Broward

Food delivery services are nothing new in Miami, with companies like UberEats, Postmates, and Grubhub transporting everything from doughnuts to burgers from a restaurant to someone’s doorstep. As of February 2017, California-based service DoorDash joined in too, alluring potential customers through restaurant partnerships with Doraku, Novecento, and Harry’s Pizzeria, as well as Meat Market, which, until DoorDash, never offered delivery.

The Tank Brewing Co. Opens Taproom

The Tank Brewing Company taproom opened this week, making the craft brewery the latest in Miami to pour beers onsite for the public. The announcement was made on the brewery’s social media, which invited the public to an informal “sip and discuss” event and preview to mark the occasion. Owner Carlos Padron says he opened the taproom following a week of inviting test crowds of various sizes.
