9 to 5 might suck, but reverse it and you got yourself an extended happy hour. Now add some half priced drinks to that and a view of the Magic City from 25 floors up, and you’re dealing with something television network worthy. The bar at The Conrad, lis teaming up with Food Network’s City Eats to host a reverse-the-clock happy hour from 5 to 9 p.m tonight featuring bar snacks to go along with their most popular cocktail – the pepino (recipe after the jump).

City Eats gives diners the opportunity to experience restaurants in their most authentic form before they book a table.

There will even be giveaways for the first 100 hungry folks to arrive. Not to worry 101 and thereafter, there’s plenty of stuff for you, like a gin and cucumber concoction called the pepino. .

There will also be French fries with creamy truffle aioli, fried calamari with saffron aioli, chicken sliders with ricotta, grapes and almond mayonnaise or ham croquetas with saffron aioli. Bites start at just $3 and don’t top $7.

Now there’s a reason to turn that 9 to 5 frown upside down.

PEPINO RECIPE

2 ounces Hendricks gin

Related

½ ounce Lime Juice (1/2 lime)

2-3 slices of Fresh Cucumber

1 lime wedge

½ ounce Simple Syrup

Related

In a martini shaker, add 2 slices of cucumber and 1 lime wedge and muddle.

Add Hendricks gin, lime juice and simple syrup.

Add Ice, shake and pour into a martini glass or on a Rocks glass (depends in the guest preference).

Garnish with a cucumber slice.
