MIA Brewing Company‘s official launch is not until September 1, but it appears that Miami’s thirst for beer cannot wait, because several more locations throughout the county will tap its kegs on Friday.
The Mighty, Clandestino Pub and Mendez Fuel Mobile Gas Station will tap kegs from MIA Brewing before the brewery officially launches. World of Beer in Dadeland, as well as dozens of other locations, will receive kegs Monday. Is it safe to say the official launch has already begun?

Lokal and Kush will also tap kegs of MIA brew tomorrow. The Mighty will receive one sixtel, or approximately five gallons, each of MIA’s flagship beers Friday morning, as well as the proper tap handles 305 Tropical Lager, MIA IPA, and Miami Weisshefeweizen. It is not clear how much the other locations will receive.

Relationship-building between bar and brewery owners — as well as the limited supply of brew — probably explains why some places are receiving kegs now while others must wait for the official launch.

“I have built a friendship with Eddie and the guys from the brewery at beer events, and they like our bar,” said Ryan Brooks, owner of the Mighty.
Though MIA beer can be enjoyed on the premises at local bars, Mendez Fuel offers it to-go in growlers.
