Back in May, Montero snagged the Marie Brizard Cocktail Challenge semifinals in Miami with his Sunny Crusta. That won him the opportunity to compete against the nation’s best bartender for the U.S. championship and a trip to France to represent the United States in the worldwide finals.

1 1/2 ounces Tequila Ocho
3/4 ounces Marie Brizard Blackberry Brandy
1/2 ounce Marie Brizard Orange Curacao
1/2 ounce lime juice
3/4 ounce grapefruit juice
1/2 ounce agave nectar

Shake ingredients in an ice-filled shaker. Strain into a chilled, sugar-rimmed, iced wine glass. Garnish with a twist of orange and a blackberry.
