A hotel reservation on South Beach always costs crazy money.
But during Winter Music Conference, Miami Music Week, and Ultra Music Festival (when citywide occupancy hits 90 percent), room rates skyrocket even higher. Especially if you’re looking to bed down with Swedish superstar Avicii on SoBe.
In 2013, a Miami hotel reservation for WMC, MMW, and Ultra went for an average of $238.12 per night. But booking at the ultra-exclusive Avicii Hotel ran about twice that much.
And this year, the Swede seems to be upgrading.

Even the cleaning ladies were wearing Avicii tees.
This year, though, the DJ and his pop-up are moving down the street to the superswanky SLS South Beach for a week and a half (March 21 to 30) during WMC, MMW, and Ultra.
The official hype indicates the “EDM-meets-luxury hotel” will offer “world-class programming and events, exclusive room packages, and SLS Hotels’ award-winning culinary offerings.”
Based on our 2013 tour of the Avicii Hotel, we here at Crossfade can say that probably means surprise dance parties with Avicii and some superfamous friends, a handwritten message from the Swede on the mirror in your hotel bathroom, and custom-created dishes like the “Wake Me Up” Kobe truffle breakfast burger.
Of course, that’s just some guesswork. But here’s a fact: The price of a booking for one adult at the Avicii hotel is currently between $750 to $800 per night. Or you know, a crazy eight grand for the full ten days.
Guess it’s time to apply for an Avicii-branded black card.
Avicii Hotel. Friday, March 21, to Sunday, March 30. SLS South Beach, 1701 Collins Ave., Miami Beach. Room reservations cost $485 to $865 per night. Visit theaviciihotel.com.
