C’mon, y’all!
For many shining moons, Boise Bob and his Backyard Band have been rockin’, rollin’, and ramblin’ down from Hallandale to Little Haiti’s Churchill’s Pub for late nights full o’ hootin’, hollerin’, and gobblin’ “Possum Meat.”
And let’s not forget … Anytime you were broke and busted, Bob and his buddies Tex Merlot, Owen Cash, Darnell Hotdog, and Rufus Bacongrease never hesitated to share their supply of High Life, did they?
So now that our favorite “Swamp Song”-ing cowpoke is sick and struggling. It’s time to pay back that beer debt. With interest.

Tonight, the Churchill’s community is throwing a hoedown to help the ol’ Backyarder deal with failing health and financial hardship after suffering a series of strokes and getting kicked out of the trailer where he’d lived for the last 15 years. The minimum donation will be $5 and “all proceeds [will] help Boise Bob with his mounting expenses due to illness.”
All in all, the Boise Bob Benefit’s gonna be all about cold brew, bring-your-own-BBQ-chicken, and helping out a buddy — not to mention a big roster of NE Second Avenue musical celebrities like Los Diablos, Holy Terrors, To Be Hated, Mr. Entertainment and the Pookie Smackers, Dooms de Pop, Rat Bastard, Mask Era, Curious Hair, and DJ Skidmark.
So sidle on over to the Pub. With your booze due. And that bag o’ gold coins you got squirreled away in the beer fridge.
Let’s fill Bob’s washtub with loot, y’all.
