Ever wonder “what it sounds like when Miami teams up with Hawaii“?
Well, Cris Cab did. So he made a new track called “The Fire.”
“Felt like dropping some music for you all,” the local pop-hop crooner announced via Facebook today. “This one features The Green from Hawaii and produced by my boys Brent Paschke, PJ McGinnis, and myself.”

“The Fire” is the first puff from Cab’s next project, slated for an early 2013 release.
Still toking on the sweet and sticky sounds of reggae masters like Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, and Gregory Isaacs, this chilled-out sunshine-y track also borrows a lil’ something from “those heavyweights” — Pharrell and Wyclef Jean — with whom he’s recently hit the studio.
Just “a feel good record,” Cris explains, “reminding us to take a step back every once in awhile and enjoy what we have.”
