Porn stars, tiny motel rooms, pastelitos, and booty bass.
Hell yeah, Jesse Perez is “Still Slangin’ That D,” and he gives you an up-close-and-personal look at the life of a booty gangster in his first-ever music video for the single off Kama Sucia: The Art of Slangin’ D.
Filmed in the wee hours of the morning by his buddy Matthew Hoyos, starring Bang Bros. faves Luna Star and Alby Rydes, it’s pretty much the most Miami thing you’ll see all week.

“It was very last minute,” Perez says. “We did that the day before I left for Europe for two months. It was really hectic to film all that. The motel room is only two people per room, so we had to sneak everybody in and stuff.”
Right from the start, it’s bangin’ beats and trippy clips of booties, Miami highways, a bit of the album release party at SoBe’s Don’t Sit on the Furniture, cramped motel room get-downs, Cuban pastries, tattooed skin, flashy bikini tops, a girl dancing with a copy of an Uncle Luke vinyl, and all the things that a good 305er should represent.
“That’s what I wanted, I wanted it to be very Miami,” he says. “There was more stuff I wanted to do, but we just cut it because I had to leave.”
The Don’t Sit parts had been filmed before, but the motel room shots were all slapped together before Perez had to catch his flight in the morning. He burned a quick five-track CD, called up his homies while director Hoyos lined up the ladies (it helps to have friends with porn connections), and the rest is history.
“I’m Cuban, so I’m late already at everything I do,” he says. “I had no idea how hard it is to actually film something, how many takes you have to do. My flight was at 10, and we filmed till 3 or 3:30 in the morning.”
Now that he’s popped his video cherry, Perez looks forward to putting more insanity on film.
“I definitely want to do more,” he says. “A lot of people were like, ‘Why are you doing a video for ‘Slangin’ That D’ now, when you released the album in March?’ There are so many good tracks on that album that I don’t want to go to waste. I’m definitely doing more.”
He’s got ideas brewing for “4 Real,” a hip-hop track with local rapper Cashy. And he’s also finished work on a few more EPs that will be making their debut in the next few months.
But for now, take comfort in the knowledge that Jesse Perez is out there, falling asleep in Jacuzzis next to 30s and porn stars, making that ass clap, still slangin’.
