American EDM acts we’ve hosted in recent years. Martin made his
auspicious grand entrance into the international scene in 2003 with
debut hit “The Sad Piano”, praised by the likes of Pete Tong and
Derrick Carter, and released on both Ben Watt’s Buzzin’ Fly label and
Steve Bug’s Bugnology mix series on Poker Flat. He has since
garnered steady accolades as a globe-trotting DJ and prolific producer
with releases on imprints like Mothership and Dirtybird, which he
co-founded with producer Claude Von Stroke. With a unique signature
sound boasting equal parts gut-rattling raunchy bass, emotive melodic
depth, and propulsive driving breakbeats that keep people shaking
booties all night, Martin puts on a hell of a show. Now the man is back
to indulge old fans and make new converts at the Electric Pickle on
Friday night, where he’ll be throwing down a 3-hour DJ set along with
Pickle residents Will Renuart and Tomas of Aquabooty.
