Twenty-five people were arrested yesterday after Miami-Dade police discovered 25 separate hydroponics labs in the county during a crackdown dubbed “Operation Machete.” Besides the alleged criminals, police also seized more than 1,300 pot plants during the daylong sweep.
Taken all together, the 1,356 marijuana plants weighed more than 1,100 pounds. According to CBS Miami the amount of pot seized had a street value of $4.5 million.
Police also collected $31,708 in cold-hard cash, seven firearms, and 30 grams of cocaine were found during the day.
