Last month, Slate concluded that Miami has America’s worst drivers, while Hialeah is third. Well, Allstate came out today with their own version of the list and while those Miami-Dade cities didn’t do quite so bad, there’s still nothing to be proud of.
According to Allstate, Hialeah has America’s fourth worst drivers while Miami has the 8th worst in the country.
Allstate’s criteria is rather simple. They use the average number of years between accidents to come up with their rankings.
On average Hialeah drivers will get into an accident every 5.6 years and are 78.7 percent more likely to get into an accident than the average American driver.

Miami drivers get into an accident every 6.3 years on average and are 59.4 percent more likely to get into an accident.
Hialeah is down one spot on the worst drivers list (or up one spot on the best drivers list, if you’re an optimist) since 2012 while Miami stayed at exactly the same spot.
