Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade celebrates his 29th birthday this Monday and will be celebrating this weekend in South Beach. Will his party rival that of teammate LeBron James’ held a few weeks ago that featured a giant cake decorated with Swarovski crystals? The apparent $100,000 price tag points to the fact it might. Of course, like James, Wade isn’t shelling out for his own party. He’s got that ish sponsored.
The New York Post reports that Belvedere Intense vodka is paying more than $100,000 to sponsor the affair. The Sunday evening fête starts off with a dinner for 200 of MV3’s closest friends, and will conclude a short walk away with an after party at Mokai.
No word on whether Wade and Co. will be dinning at Soleá or Mr. Chow inside the W, but dinner for 100 at either could easily carry a price tag of more than $25,000. We imagine that Wade will probably also get a cake worth a few grand. Who knows what other costs are involved, but hopefully his guests will walk away with a killer goodie bag.
Wade isn’t exactly known for low-key birthdays. Last year’s was held at LIV with guests like Lil’ Wayne. His 26th was sponsored by rival vodka brand Stoli and featured performances by Trina and Bill Bellamy.
