If Johnnie Cochran was still alive and defending cat killer suspect Tyler Weinman, we’d imagine he’d be saying something like “If the pussy hairs aren’t the same, you can’t place blame.”
WSVN reports that the DNA of cat hairs found in the room, clothing and backpack of defendant Tyler Weinman does not match any of the cats that were found dead in a streak of bizarre cat killings last year in Cutler Bay and Palmetto Bay.
Weinman’s attorney says that if all the DNA tests come back negative he expects the cast to be dropped, however prosecutors are believe to go forward with the charges regardless. They’re expected to rely on other evidence that connects 18-year-old Weinman to the crimes.
Weinman faces 21 charges each of felony animal cruelty and improperly disposing of the animal’s body, in addition to four counts of burglary for allegedly dumping the cats’ bodies back on their owners’ lawns.
