Police have arrested a man in connection to a horrific car crash early Sunday morning that killed three people and seriously injured a fourth.
Cedric Levon Williams, 48, was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident. The crash occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday at NE 82nd Street and 2nd Avenue, shortly after Miami PD received a call about a van driving erratically.
According to the police report (below), Williams was driving southbound on NE 2nd Avenue when he ran a red light and T-boned a Honda Civic, killing driver Robert Wissler and passengers Lindsey Ennis and Kayla Bain. A fourth passenger, Robert Judd, was seriously injured and remains in the hospital.
Williams limped away from the crash, but police discovered a blood trail and found him holed up at his house on Sunday afternoon. According to the report, he then admitted to police that he had been drinking, ran the red light while fleeing the police, and left the scene because his license was expired.

Williams has several prior felony convictions, including burglary, battery, and cocaine possession.
