Last night during an argument in the parking lot of a Hialeah convenience store, a man pulled a machete and slashed his opponent in the face. Police are now searching for the suspect while the victim recovers in the hospital.
The attack happened outside the Kwik Stop on E. Eighth Avenue and 26th Street. According to NBC Miami, the two men knew each other and started arguing. One of the men then pulled out a machete and hit the other over the face with it.
The victim suffered a serious gash to the face that was so severe he had to be airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital. He’s now in stable condition and is expected to survive.
Police are now searching for the suspect who drove away in a pickup truck.
