No matter your opinion on marijuana or guns, we can all agree that the two shouldn’t be mixed.

Just ask 20-year-old Josue Sanchez who got high in a car on Friday night and then ended up accidentally fatally shooting his friend.

According to police reports, Sanchez and two others were smoking pot in his car, which was parked in a Hialeah parking lot on Friday night. One of those friends was 19-year-old Lazaro Martinez.

Martinez and the other friend asked to see Sanchez’s gun, so he pulled it out of his waistband and showed it to them. The trio then took pictures of themselves posing with the gun.

When Sanchez took the gun back he pulled the trigger. He later told police he didn’t think there was a round in the firearm. Unfortunately there was, and a bullet struck Martinez in the hips.

The men drove Martinez to a hospital, but he was later pronounced dead.

Sanchez was arrested yesterday on charges of manslaughter.
