After finding a woman with burns covering 60 percent of her body, Miami-Dade police are investigating the incident as a possible attack on a homeless person.

The Miami-Dade Police Department received a call last night about a small brush fire. When officers arrived, they discovered the woman in the Busway near 21420 S. Dixie Hwy. in Goulds.

According to NBC Miami, the woman is believed to have lived in the bushes near the area where she was found. Her name has not yet been released, but police say she has a long history of arrests.

Burns covered more than half of her body, and she was transported to Kendall Regional Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition.
