Seems the Miami Hurricanes are well aware of everyone saying, “Well, let’s see how long this lasts before it goes to their heads and they screw up” — even though players and coaches alike are telling the media they still feel like underdogs.
QB Jacory Harris has taken steps to ensure his team doesn’t come across the hype on television, putting the players on a diet of only SpongeBob SquarePants.
“The only thing that we’re going to watch on TV from now on is SpongeBob,” Miami Coach Randy Shannon recalled Harris saying about SpongeBob SquarePants. “We ain’t watching ESPN. We ain’t watching CBS. We ain’t watching ABC. If SpongeBob can tell you how good you are, then you deserve it.”
