A North Miami Beach man was beaten and robbed of just about everything he had on him: his cash, his jewelry, his rental cars, and even his pants. Yep, to add insult to injury the attackers left him standing in a parking lot in his underwear.
Robert Leipzig, 57, was just trying to do a good deed. The beach resident was in Miami Gardens early Tuesday morning at about 5:30 a.m. He was in the parking lot of an AutoZone on NW 191st Street trying to set traps and capture feral cats so they could be spayed or neutered.
He was going about his deed until he ran into a few Miami Gardens locals. According to CBS Miami, two young men approached Leipzig with a gun and ordered him into a vehicle. Leipzig refused, and one of the men pulled out a gun and pistol whipped him.
They asked for his jewelry and cash, but Leipzig refused. Still holding the gun, the men demanded he take off his pants. Leipzig finally relented. They took off with the pants, jewelry, wallet and even the beige Toyota Camry he had been renting.
