Yesterday, a little after 2 p.m., a woman went to visit her friend in her new home, a squat, pastel-painted ranch on a quiet block of SW 5th Terrace just off SW 8th Street in West Miami.

When she walked inside, she found her friend on the floor, dead in a pool of her own blood.

This morning, Miami police are looking for that woman’s boyfriend, 33-year-old Alexander Ferra Bruzon, says Officer Kenia Reyes, a spokeswoman for the Miami police department.

Reyes declined to name the murder victim — described as a Hispanic woman in her early 30s — saying that all her family hadn’t yet been told of her death.

Bruzon, whom Reyes described as a “person of interest,” was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, and driving a ’97 or ’98 Nissan Altima with tag 441HKS.

Bruzon has no criminal record in Miami-Dade, based on Riptide’s records search this morning.

Update: Police caught up with Bruzon in Tampa this morning, and have arrested him and charged him with first degree murder, Reyes tells Riptide.
