Rudy Chamorro, 29, and Elena Hernandez, 31, are under real imprisonment on charges of false imprisonment and human trafficking and deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution. The duo is suspected of forcing a 17-year-old girl and a 32-year-old woman into prostitution.

The pair forced both women to have sex for money and physically abused them during their sexual enslavement. According to NBC Miami, the older women told investigators she was forced to have sex for about a month and was forced to give all the proceeds to the charged pair. Police also found that Chamorro had placed ads online advertising the women’s services with pictures of the victims.

Police found Chamorro and Hernandez in their home which was apparently in deplorable condition. Rotting food and insects were found in the home. The pair were also smoking a marijuana cigarette when police entered. Four children were also taken from the home and placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.

Chamarro has previously been arrested in February for controlled substance possession. He had also had previous arrests in Miami-Dade County for petit theft and committing a lewd act on a minor under 16. The lewd act case was eventually dismissed.
