Miami-Dade Police are on the search for a feathered friend who was the victim of a parrot napping. The blue Macaw parrot stolen August 20th from its owner’s Coral Gables home.
Security footage caught the suspected thief driving up to the home in the 3200 block of SW 64th Avenue in a Silver, 4-door BMW with dark tinted windows. The man entered the home through the backdoor and then exited with the fowl wrapped in a towel or blanket.
The suspect is described as being between 35 and 45 years-old. He’s around 5’10” and 180 pounds.
Though, if you happened to spot a parrot that may have been pilfered, police say that this particular bird mimics the following phrases: Jonathan, Alex, Elvira, Rodo, Chaky, que paso papo, flaca, ladra and tose.

Now, granted their may be more than one bird in Miami-Dade that mimics a few of those words, but we haven’t come across that many parrots whose favorite words include “flaca.”
