Ismael Cruz-Pratts, 48, was struck and killed by three cars last night in North-West Miami Dade. Disturbingly, only one of the drivers actually stopped to assist the victim. The two other cars drove away as Cruz-Pratts was left for the dead on the asphalt.
Cruz-Pratts was walking across NW 17th Avenue from east to west near 11400 block when he was struck by a 2008 Nissan Altima.
The driver of the Altima stopped, and according to CBS Miami, told police that Cruz-Pratts still seemed responsive and was struggling to sit upright.
The victim was then hit by a dark-colored Cadillac and a red Honda. Neither driver of those cars stopped. The final two hits proved fatal, and Cruz-Pratts was declared dead on the scene.
