After getting a tip that two kidnapped teenagers were being held at a trailer park in Homestead, police shot and killed an armed female suspect. Five men were also arrested following the incident.

According to Local 10, Miami-Dade Police got a tip yesterday that two teenage boys, 17 and 19, had been kidnapped and were being held for a $250,000 ransom.

The investigation lead to the Cocowalk Trailer Park in the 200 block of Northeast 12th Avenue. Police searched the park, and found the two teens inside one of the trailer homes, but once they tried to enter a woman with a gun confronted officers.

“When the officers approached and entered the residence, there was a confrontation,” Lt. Rosanna Cordero-Stutz told WSVN, “and one subject was killed on the scene. That subject was a white female. She was armed with a gun.”
