Back in 2007 University of Miami School of Law professor Donald Marvin Jones got popped for allegedly pulling over in his Mercedes Benz and offering an undercover cop $20 for some sex. Jones ended up suiting law blog, Above the Law, for making a few jokes about the thing. Well, guess what? Jones just got arrested again for soliciting prostitution. He may be a professor, but he apparently doesn’t learn.
Jones, a prolific scholar who’s appeared numerous times on nationally televised news programs, got arrested on September 26, this past Monday, for purchasing services from a prostitute.
Jones maintained his innocence in the 2007 arrest, and those charges were eventually dropped.
“The University of Miami is aware of the situation concerning UM School of Law Professor Donald M. Jones,” school spokesperson Karla Hernandez told NBC Miami. “It is our policy not to comment on personnel matters and will be unable to issue any further statement at this time.”

Above The Law, the blog that teased Jones for his first arrest, have some details about the rumors flying around campus.
Back in 2007, the blog dubbed Jones “The Nutty Professor” and cracked jokes like, “If you’re looking to score some ass, why not stick to the U. Miami student body? At least they won’t charge” in a series of posts.
Jones sued in 2009 for $22 million but dropped the suit a week later. The dramatic suit only served as a further source of embarrassment for Jones.
