A woman in her 60s was found dead on an Opa-locka street early this morning. Police believe she was shot through the back, but have released few other details.


The woman was discovered around 6 a.m. near the intersection of 136th Street and NW 23rd Avenue. The area was close to her apartment. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police had been in the area after a reported robbery at a nearby gas station, reports NBC Miami, though its not immediately clear if the two incidents are related.

No other details, including the woman’s identity, have been released.
