On July 13th there will be dancing on Calle 8, to French music. That’s because July 13th the Alliance Francaise of Miami is celebrating Bastille Day (historically celebrated the morning of July 14th).
Bastille Day is similar to our 4th of July. It is a French national holiday that commemorates the French revolution of 1789.
Live musical entertainment will be provided by Tangi Colombel who will be singing hits from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. The Bon Appetit Cafe will be selling crepes, sandwiches, quiche, and desserts. There will also be a big raffle for restaurant gift certificates, flowers, pastries, perfumes, cognac and more.
The entrance fee is a mere $5. The Alliance Francaise is located at 618 SW 8th Street. Parking is available at 629 SW 7th Street at the Asemblea Evangelista. Log on to http://www.afmiami.org for more info
