Ben of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream in South Beach Tonight! His Five Greatest Celebrity Flavors

If you’ve ever soothed the heartache of a breakup with a pint of Half Baked or Chunky Monkey, you have Ben Cohen to thank. Cohen, half of America’s most beloved ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s, doesn’t just make a mean frozen dessert. He’s also an activist, supporting Democratic candidates and leading political campaigns.

And tonight, Cohen will make an appearance at Miami Beach Cinematheque‘s screening of Ingredients, part of the Environmental Coalition of Miami Beach’s Cinema Green series. The documentary tells the stories of chefs and other food producers in the local food movement, and has screened at film festivals from Washington, D.C. to Hawaii.

Whether you’re devoted to sustainable food practices or just want to know where you can get your hands on Ben & Jerry’s Cannoli-flavored ice cream (seriously, Cohen, give us the goods), it’s looking like an unmissable event — and an excellent excuse to indulge in Ben & Jerry’s other ventures into the world of entertainment. Flavor: Greek frozen yogurt with a blueberry lavender swirl.

We know, we know, this healthy, flowery flavor would probably make Liz Lemon herself say, “Blergh.” But because we love all things 30 Rock, we are compelled to love this ice cream anyway.

Schweddy Balls

Flavor: Vanilla ice cream with a hint of rum and loaded with fudge covered rum and malt balls.

We also love all things Jack Donaghy Alec Baldwin. Especially when his best SNL sketch gets turned into an ice cream with a name so off-putting that some supermarkets refused to stock it.

Cherry Garcia

Flavor: Cherry ice cream with cherries and dark chocolate chunks.

This flavor is such a Ben & Jerry’s classic that it’s easy to forget its namesake, Jerry Garcia. Eat enough of this stuff and you’ll start to resemble him, too.

AmeriCone Dream

Flavor: Vanilla ice cream with fudge-covered waffle cone pieces and a caramel swirl.

Of all Ben & Jerry’s ice creams, this one is the truthiest.

Willie Nelson’s Country Peach Cobbler

Flavor: Peach ice cream with cinnamon sugar shortbread pieces.

Braided crooner Willie Nelson can do no wrong, even when he’s converting a southern dessert staple into a frozen mass-produced delicacy. We’re willing to bet this flavor is also an effective cure for the munchies, nudge nudge, wink wink.
