Earlier today, NBA player Jason Collins made history as the first active athlete in a major American sports league to come out as a gay. Just hours later, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace was just the latest athlete to come out as an idiot.
All these interesting things in the world to Tweet about and people wanna broadcast their ignorance SMH…
The reaction on Twitter has been swift and snarky.
Wallace quickly deleted his Tweets and issued something of an apology.
Wallace is one of the Dolphins’ key off season acquisitions. He signed a five-year contract with the team worth $60 million with the team last month. We’ll see if he loses at least some of that money to a fine.
