Howard Stern is the new judge at America’s Got Talent. The self-proclaimed “King of All Media” made the announcement this morning on his Sirius XM radio program and quickly became one of Twitter’s trending topics.
While the reaction’s has been generally positive around the web, one conservative buzz killer’s not having it.
“[Stern’s] only talent has been vulgarity and degradation of women and ethnicities,” said David Caton, president of Florida Family’s Association, the non-profit group fighting to improve “America’s moral environment” by pulling ads from TLC’s All-American Muslim.

After asking us about New Times‘ core demographic and what the motive of our inquiry was really all about, Caton finally admitted he’d only watched “a few minutes” of AGT in the past, but assured us that NBC made a poor decision in hiring Stern.
Truthfully, we weren’t surprised by his stance. We were, however, shocked to learn about his television viewing habits.
“I don’t watch reality television,” Caton said.
Whoa, what?
“Does that mean you’ve never watched an episode of TLC’s All-American Muslim, the show you’re boycotting?” we asked, hoping Caton would explain himself.
“C’mon, that’s ridiculous,” he said. “I don’t have time for your interrogation.” Click.
Sounds like someone’s full of shit, eh?
