If you’ve missed all four previous installments of the Rising monthly hip-hop series at Transit Lounge, go get correct this Saturday night.

Launched back in August 2010 by local swag supplier Last Rights, Fort Lauderdale producer Numonics, the C9 family, and Miami rap crew ¡Mayday!, the Rising has done big business, bringing heavy hittas from all over the country to the Little Havana hangout.

Among the alumni so far, you got Ghostwridah, STS, Blu, Co$$, Sene, Emilio Rojas, and Laws. But after Saturday, add a couple of East Coasters — Termanology and Statik Selektah — to the list.

As fellow Massachusetts natives and now Showoff Records co-consipirators, Term and the Selektah have been collaborating for more than a half-decade, popping off mixtapes in bunches and even dropping legit studio albums, including Termanology’s 2006 debut Out the Gate and Statik’s Spell My Name Right.

Most recently, though, they’ve decided to officially team up for a collabo project named after their shared birth year, 1982. And already, there have been two releases under that moniker: The Evening News EP as well as a full-length slab, Statik Selektah & Termanology Are 1982, featuring guest spots by rapper-slash-ride-pimp Xzibit, ex-Cash Money associate Freeway, and Maybach Music Group member Masspike Miles.

In short, 1982 is some classic East Coast clatter. Exactly what you need to get correct.
