Who is Mikey Steel, and why should you care about his birthday?
He was born in the mountains of Kentucky. His momma was a black bear and his daddy was a mountain lion. They lived off pork fat and whiskey and grew weed by the ton in their backyard.
As a youngster Mikey learned to make his own guitars out of old car parts, and was the first youth in Kentucky with a skateboard.
His first band was called Hillbilly’s Revenge and there was a jug player trying to keep up with the fastest electric guitars, and hardest drums this side of reality. The band fell apart, and Steel’s parents sold the farm and moved to Miami.
