What the hell is Burnie anyway? He looks like a rejected Muppet that’s been sleeping in a dumpster, a 7’6″ bag of ratty orange fur with a swollen green mini-basketball for a nose. And his official Miami Heat bio doesn’t help at all. It just totally dodges the question.
Anyway, the Heat’s sad, second-rate mascot will be partying with Pitbull (and possibly LeBron James?) at the American Airlines Arena as part of a pre-game street party for tonight’s home opener.
Expect a live show from Pit, mixes from DJ MDOT, the Heat Dancers shaking ass, and Burnie napping in the trash. See the cut for the schedule and full details.
5:45 p.m. Miami Heat Dancers get down.
