The upstairs lounge at Grand Central is one of those projects we’ve been hearing about since 2010.
Awhile ago, venue reps told us that they would be opening a more intimate hangout in the second-floor loft where live acts and DJs who weren’t necessarily suited for the cavernous space downstairs could feel more at home. It was supposedly set to make its debut during Miami Music Week — but that never happened.
And still, the space isn’t ready for public scrutiny. Nevertheless, Grand Central will host the 42Below Vodka lounge this Saturday after Wynwood Second Saturday Art Walk.
Dubbed “The After Party,” guests will be able to enjoy complimentary vodka from 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., as well as photography and video courtesy of Fifi Projects.

Poplife’s Jake Jefferson told Crossfade that this event is not the lounge’s grand opening and the way you’ll see it on Saturday won’t be the way it will look when completed.
